Miss Ceri Thomas

Miss Thomas (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) joined the school in September 2006.
She has a Diploma in Child Care and after qualifying spent seven years as a nanny. She then worked for five years as a teaching assistant in a school in Plymouth and was an Ofsted registered child-minder for a year.
Miss Thomas loves the outdoors and enjoys spending time with her daughter swimming, walking their Border Terrier and playing with their rabbits. In the warmer months, they love to bodyboard and attempt to play golf. Other interests include ‘Wake Up Shake Up’, which she leads throughout the school.
Mrs Debbie Hayward-Allison
Mrs Hayward-Allison (teaching assistant) moved to Cornwall in April 2015 from London, following a lifelong dream to live by the sea. She is a very experienced TA, having worked with children for over 22 years in many capacities: working as a TA (in which she has a particular interest and experience of working with SEND children), running a youth club, counselling children, running social skills groups and setting up and managing a very successful after-school club.
She and her husband have four grown-up children between them. They love spending time together and with their family and friends, going to the cinema, music, dancing and taking walks along the beach and coastal paths of Cornwall.
Miss Lizzie Prout
Miss Prout (teaching assistant) joined the school in January 2014. She has worked with children since 2008, in primary schools as well as being a support worker with children who have challenging behaviour and learning difficulties.
She has a Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education and experience in supporting children with a range of challenging behaviours.
Miss Prout has a keen interest in spending time in the outdoors, and is heavily involved within the scouting movement.
Ms Chantelle Russell
Ms Russell has a PGCE in History and started her career in education as a Humanities teacher in Wiltshire before moving into working with educational resources. Up until now her favourite role was working as regional manager for the International Primary Curriculum which meant working with primary schools across South West England and exploring how they could adapt their curriculum and link subject learning through stimulating topics. She is very excited to be working at Egloskerry but when she's not at school she is most likely to be found travelling and exploring Cornwall in her camper van and bodyboarding with her son, her partner and their friends.
Mrs Jo Loughton
Mrs Loughton (teaching assistant) joined the school in 2018. She has worked with children since 2014 in nurseries and primary school settings. She has a NVQ Level 3 in Children and young people’s workforce.
