Mrs S Edwards
Mrs Edwards (lunchtime-supervisor) moved to Egloskerry from Bolton in the early 1980s. She has worked at Egloskerry School as a lunchtime supervisor since September 2003, having had two children who attended the school. She has achieved an NVQ Level 2 in Child Play.
Having proudly held a position of Head Girl at secondary school, she went on to complete her nursing qualification in 1984 and spent many years working in a local nursing home. She has a lot of interests and has supported the school on a voluntary basis for many years.
She especially enjoys listening to children read.
Miss K Broom
Miss Broom moved to Egloskerry from Crawley in 2003 to enjoy a slower paced life and to start a family within a rural setting. She has two children currently attending Egloskerry Primary. Before Egloskerry family life, she owned three horses and has ridden since the age of 15. She worked full time in sales and accounts for six years and, alongside her full time job and horses, did seven years of voluntary fundraising for a wildlife sanctuary at weekends, helping out with the animals, cleaning, etc. At home in the evenings Miss Broom used to rehabilitate hedgehogs. Now however she enjoys a variety of activities and going to events with her family whilst exploring this beautiful part of the country.
Mrs C Evans
Mrs Evans was born in Barbados and moved to London when she was little. She left home very young which taught her a lot and she gained a variety of knowledge and experiences through a variety of jobs.
Whilst at College she gained qualifications in Nursing and worked in a Care Home for 5 years. Along side the Care home job, Mrs Evans worked at a hotel chain as a chambermaid and worked her way up through various roles: Chambermaid, Waitress, Bar, Reception front desk. Along the way she gained qualifications for a career in Hospitality as a Duty Manager and Wedding Conference Organiser.
Mrs Evans moved to Hertfordshire for a different career path as a Project Manager for a flooring and walling Company for 9 years and along side this worked in a pub and property Estate Agents as a weekend Sales Negotiator. She then meet her Husband and decided to move to Cornwall in 2011 for a quieter, calmer life to raise their children.
Mrs Evans has been doing Volunteering work at Egloskerry School since 2014 and is very proud to now be working at Egloskerry School. Mrs Evans takes part in all areas of school life and enjoys developing her skills and expertise in a variety of areas.
