Mrs S Gumbrell
Mrs Gumbrell (catering manager) has been a qualified cook for nearly 30 years. She moved to Launceston from East Sussex in the late 1990s and has two children.
In her spare time she helps coach at Tavistock Gym Club, and is currently training to become an Assistant Coach.
Mrs S Edwards
Mrs Edwards (lunchtime-supervisor) moved to Egloskerry from Bolton in the early 1980s. She has worked at Egloskerry School as a lunchtime supervisor since September 2003, having had two children who attended the school. She has achieved an NVQ Level 2 in Child Play.
Having proudly held a position of Head Girl at secondary school, she went on to complete her nursing qualification in 1984 and spent many years working in a local nursing home. She has a lot of interests and has supported the school on a voluntary basis for many years.
She especially enjoys listening to children read.
Miss K Broom
Miss Broom moved to Egloskerry from Crawley in 2003 to enjoy a slower paced life and to start a family within a rural setting. She has two children currently attending Egloskerry Primary. Before Egloskerry family life, she owned three horses and has ridden since the age of 15. She worked full time in sales and accounts for six years and, alongside her full time job and horses, did seven years of voluntary fundraising for a wildlife sanctuary at weekends, helping out with the animals, cleaning, etc. At home in the evenings Miss Broom used to rehabilitate hedgehogs. Now however she enjoys a variety of activities and going to events with her family whilst exploring this beautiful part of the country.
Mrs J Burford
Mrs Burford moved to Cornwall from Worcestershire in June 2017. She has four children (three of whom are now adults; her youngest attends Egloskerry Primary). Before moving to Cornwall, she gained a BA (Hons) in Interior Design before working in an architect's studio for nine years. After the birth of her youngest son she set up her own business designing and hand-making gifts. She enjoys teaching others how to sew and be creative - so much so that she is sharing her artistic flair by running an after-school craft and sewing club.
If she isn't sitting at her sewing machine, Mrs Burford loves every aspect of country life, along with days spent exploring the Cornish coast.
